Description

When I was going to Maine for a few weeks, Kennebunkport one of the places that I really wanted to stop at. There is something about the town that just feels so inherently “Maine”. The rocky coastlines and places to eat over looking the water are personal favorites. Though I usually like to eat at Federal Jack’s, since you can normally get a pretty decent view of the water, my family and I decided to go to Mable’s Lobster Claw instead. Our inspiration for going there? It is President George H.W. Bush’s favorite restaurant in Kennebunkport and, since we had just left the look out location of Walker’s Point, facts like that were getting tossed around.

While we were at the Walker’s Point look out, we had a few interesting conversations. My personal favorite was a lady who was confused that since President George W. Bush was no longer president, why was he allowed to keep the house? Various explanations such as “it’s his family home” simply were not good enough reasoning. After she walked away, seemingly dejected about the situation, my family and I just looked at each other, puzzled.
